Thomas More Adding Men’s Volleyball and Men’s and Women’s Swimming & Diving

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) - Thomas More College has announced that the College will expand its highly successful and competitive athletics programs to include men's volleyball, which will be the 100th NCAA Division III men's volleyball program, and men's and women's swimming & diving beginning in the fall of 2018.  The new programs will give both incoming and current students increased opportunities to enhance their student experience.

"We are thrilled to have the opportunity to add men's volleyball and men's and women's swimming & diving here at Thomas More College," Athletic Director Terry Connor said. "I am excited for the challenge of starting the new programs and to see what they can accomplish in the future."

The NCAA added Division III Men's Volleyball as a championship sport in 2012.  The sport of men's volleyball has seen tremendous growth in recent years, especially at the high school level in Greater Cincinnati and neighboring states.

Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving has been a championship sport since 1975 at the NCAA Division III level.  The Greater Cincinnati region has very successful high school and club swimming teams and Thomas More provides these student-athletes an avenue to compete at the collegiate area and remain close to home.

The addition of men's volleyball and men's and women's swimming & diving will bring the total number of athletic teams at Thomas More College to 26. Thomas More currently has intercollegiate teams in men's and women's basketball, men's and women's soccer, women's volleyball, football, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's track and field, men's and women's golf, men's and women's tennis, baseball, softball, women's lacrosse, men's and women's rugby, men's and women's bowling and wrestling as well as competitive cheer and dance, archery and shooting which is housed under student engagement.
