(MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.) - The Thomas More College football was listed among "others receiving votes" in the 2013 D3football.com's Preseason Top-25 poll that was released on Thursday (July 18, 2013) by the internet website.
The Saints received 33 points, which was tied for fourth most points in the group listed under "others receiving votes." Thomas More has the most votes out of three Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) teams receiving votes as Washington & Jefferson College had 27 points and Waynesburg University had 14 points.
Thomas More posted a 7-3 record in 2012, including a 6-2 record in the PAC and won its last six games of the season. In the 23-year history of the program, the Saints have posted five undefeated regular season, appeared in six NCAA Division III National Playoffs and won four PAC titles.
The Saints open the 2013 season on September 7 when they travel to Columbus, Ohio to play Capital University. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. at Bernlohr Stadium.
The D3football.com To-25 is voted on a by a panel of 25 coaches, sports information directors and media members from across the country and is published weekly during the season.
