(WACO, Texas) - Thomas More College junior running back Domonique Hayden (Lexington, Ky./Lexington Christian Academy) has been named to the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) All-American Football Team.
Hayden led all of NCAA Division III with a school record 2,017 yards rushing (201.7 yards per game) on 242 carries and had 25 touchdowns and also had 10 catches for 217 yards and three touchdowns. He has tied or owns the school record in single-game all-purpose yards (366), points in a game (30), points in a season (168), career points (384), rushing yards in a game (327), rushing touchdowns in a game (five) career rushing touchdowns (58), single-season rushing touchdowns (25) and single-season rushing yards (2,017).
Hayden at the conclusion of the season was named the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Offensive Player of the Year and first team All-PAC, while also being named first team All-South Region by the internet website D3football.com.
The AFCA All-American team is limited to just 25 elite players in the nation selected by member coaches and each school may have one selection on the team.
