(KANSAS CITY, Mo.) – Thomas More College graduate Ryan Hamm '13 has been chosen by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) as an Under Armour 30-under-30 honoree. The 30-under-30 recognizes a group of up and coming young coaches in men's college basketball.
Hamm has just completed his second season as an assistant coach at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri. The Lions have won 37 games since he has been at Lindenwood, including a 21-win season last year. In those two seasons, Lindenwood has allowed just 67.2 points a game, and has ranked in the top-35 nationally in scoring defense each year.
"To have my name alongside the other names on this list is an incredible feeling," said Hamm. "I am very thankful daily for Coach Randall giving me the opportunity to be a part of this profession, and to be able to work and learn from such amazing assistant coaches and players. This recognition speaks volumes to the other people that I have had the privilege to be around in college basketball."
Hamm was an assistant coach at Saint Leo for Lance Randall in 2014-15. He has also been the head coach or assistant coach of several AAU programs. Hamm was a four-year letterwinner and three-year starter at Thomas More College from 2009-2013, and earned the Most Outstanding Senior Award in 2013.
