(MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.) – Thomas More College junior guard Damion King (Winchester, Ky. / George Rogers Clark) earned All-Great Lakes Region honors from D3hoops.com. King was named to the Great Lakes Region Second-Team for the 2017-18 season by D3Hoops.com.
King, who was been named first team All-Great Lakes District by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC), PAC Player of the Year, PAC Player of the Week, and a two-time All-PAC First Team selection, finished eighth in the league in scoring, averaging 15.2 points per game. King also finished 12th in rebounding (6.0 rpg), 12th in field-goal percentage (.460), second in assists (4.3 apg), fourth in free-throw percentage (.821), 10th in 3-point field-goal percentage (.388), 14th in 3-pointers made (1.3), and third with his assist/turnover ratio (2.1). King also recorded his 1000th collegiate career point earlier this season. In the 29 games played for the Saints this season, King recorded 175 rebounds, 126 assists, 27 steals, one block, and 442 points.
The Saints ended their season with a 23-6 overall record, advancing to become PAC Champions and to the NCAA Division III Tournament, where they fell to John Carroll University, 95-72.
