Tyler Hochstetler is entering his fourth season as assistant coach with the Thomas More College men's basketball program.

Coach Hochstetler came to Thomas More after spending the previous three seasons as the Head Freshmen Boy’s coach at Ryle High School in Northern Kentucky. While at Ryle, Hochstetler accumulated three regular season district championships with a combined record of (14-3) in district play. In his final season at Ryle Coach Hochstetler lead the Raiders to a (17-4) overall record with zero blemishes in district play.

During his tenure at Ryle, Hochstetler also spent time during the summer coaching the Kentucky Royals traveling team. In two years with the Royals, Hochstetler accumulated four league championships at various venues as well as two tournament championships. Also during the summer he has traveled the country working basketball camps for several high-level universities including: Iowa State, VCU, Creighton, Syracuse, Samford, and Bellarmine.

Prior to his coaching career at Ryle, Hochstetler spent one season as an assistant at Woodland Middle School where the Wildcats were able to reel in a regular season championship, district championship tournament championship, and regional runner-ups with an overall record of (20-3).

Aside from his coaching experience, Hochstetler attended high school at Greenwood High in Bowling Green, KY where he was a three-year letter winner and two-year captain of the Gator’s basketball team. During his junior season, he lead the team in assist with 135 total, averaging 5.2 per contest. Hochstetler later attended Northern Kentucky University where he earned a degree in accounting.

Hochstetler is currently single and resides in Newport, Kentucky.
