(HARRISON, Ohio) – The Thomas More College men's golf team competed in the final round of the Karl Power Individual Invitational today (Sunday, September 3, 2017) at Miami Whitewater Forest Golf Course in Harrison, Ohio.
The Saints were led by senior Carter Hibbard (Florence, Ky./Boone County), who finished second with a 223 (79-70-74). Five other Saints finished in the Top-10 as sophomore Zack Baynum (California, Ky./Newport Central Catholic) was third with a 224 (75-74-75), sophomore Kyle Alexander (Taylorsville, Ky./Spencer County) tied for fourth with a 227 (74-74-79), junior Matt Striegel (Cold Spring, Ky./Newport Central Catholic) was sixth with a 229 (78-75-76), first-year Nick Drake (Bowling Green, Ky./South Warren) was seventh with a 239 (84-78-77) and sophomore Jacob Zai (Cold Spring, Ky./Bishop Brossart) was eighth with a 245 (86-79-80).
Rounding out the Saints' golfers were first-year Robby Case IV (Crestview Hills, Ky./Covington Catholic) in 12th with a 258 (93-83-82), first-year Kyle Redden (Cincinnati, Ohio/Anderson) in 13th with a 272 (95-86-91) and sophomore Blake Baioni (Cold Spring, Ky./Newport Central Catholic) in 14th with a 287 (93-94-100).
Thomas More returns to the links on September 9 and 10 when it competes at the Battle at the Brook at Plum Brook Country Club in Sandusky, Ohio. Tee-times begin at 12 p.m. on September 9.
