(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) – The No. 1 ranked Thomas More Saints took on No. 4 ranked Washington & Jefferson in the PAC Championship semi-final match. The Saints took down the Presidents, 2-0, advancing to the Championship match.
With the win, Thomas More improved to 13-4-2 overall and will play the winner of the Grove City vs. Geneva match on Saturday at 3:30 PM.
Thomas More took an early 1-0 lead when Oliver Owen punched in a penalty shot in the second minute of the game. The Saints had a 7-2 shot advantage going into half-time. In the 80th minute of the game, Sam Lewis scored the game winning goal off an assist from Bryce Day to extend the lead to 2-0. Lewis had the team high with four shots in the match. Ethan Smith was close behind with three shots. As a team, the Saints totaled 18 shots to Washington & Jefferson's seven.
Jeff Paulin played all 90 minutes in the goal, with two saves and no goals allowed.
