(CENTRE, Ky.) – The Thomas More College men's track and field team traveled to Centre College for the Centre Twilight meet on Friday, April 13. The men's team took home fourth place overall, with 15 placing performances.
On the track part of the meet, Oscar Ramirez placed second in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:11.49. The 4x100-meter relay team consisting of Zach Hans, TJ Moore, Montez Taylor, and Corey Young, placed sixth with a time of 44.22. Michael Campbell placed fifth in the 1500-meter run with a time of 4:10.47. Ryan Jackson Jr. placed seventh in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 17.13. In the 400-meter dash, Young placed second with a time of 49.94. Hans placed sixth in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 58.84. In the 5000-meter run, Campbell placed second with a time of 15:57.29, Ross Klocke was right behind him with a time of 16:01.17 coming in third, and right behind him was Ramirez finishing in fourth with a time of 16:13.64.
In the field events, Todd Lewis placed second in the shot put event with a distance of 14.19-meters. Lewis also placed first in the discus throw with a distance of 44.06-meters. Jacob Steinmetz placed second in the discus throw with a distance of 42.70-meters. In the triple-jump, Kamrin Boone placed fifth with a distance of 12.14-meters and Zack Osburg placed seventh with a distance of 11.73-meters. In the pole vault event, Ryan Everidge placed fourth with a height of 3.80-meters.
The Saints are back on the track on April 21 at the Mount St. Joseph Invitational.
