Softball Goes 0-2 on Final Day in Arizona; Gahan Makes All-Tournament Team

(TUCSON, Ariz.) - The Thomas More College women's softball team took on Otterbein and Linfield in its third and final day out in Arizona. The Saints went 0-2 today, falling 10-6 to Linfield and 9-6 to Otterbein. With the two losses, the Saints are now 2-6 on the season. 

In the first game, Kenzi Dickerson went 3-4 hitting two doubles and a single on a fielders choice, along with an RBI. Andrea Gahan went 3-4 hitting a home run and two singles. Alix DeDreu went 2-2 along with two RBI's. Whitney Quillen got on base twice in her four at-bats off of a walk and a single. 

In the second game, Quillen went 3-4, scoring one run. Bree Appel went 3-3 hitting a double and a home run, along with two RBI's. Gahan went 2-4 hitting a home run and four RBI's. Dallis Knotts went 1-2 getting on base by a walk. The Saints hit 10 hits in the game, scoring six runs in 29 at-bats. DeDreu was on the mound against Otterbein, giving up 12 hits and nine runs. 

Gahan was chosen to be on the All-Tournament Team from the past three days in Arizona. Gahan had 12 hits, two doubles, five home runs, and 13 RBI's in the season-opening games. 

The Saints head home now only to road trip to Columbus, Ohio to take on Capital University on March 14.
