(OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla.) - Thomas More College sophomore first baseman Andrea Gahan (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills) has been named to the NCAA Division III All-America Team by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA).
Gahan is the third-ever and second-straight Thomas More softball student-athlete to be named to the NFCA All-America Team as Anna Walter was named third team All-American in 201 and Alix DeDreu was named third team All-American in 2017. She was named to the second team after being named first team All-Central Region and first team All-Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC).
Gahan played in 48 games this season making 163 appearances at the plate for a .442 batting average. She recorded 42 runs off 68 hits, which is the second most hits in a season record at Thomas More. She also recorded 14 doubles, two triples, and 16 home runs, which is the most home runs in a single season at Thomas More. Gahan is ranked second in runs batted-in in a season with 53. She has stolen 11 bases and has a .980 fielding percentage with 340 putouts.
Thomas More finished the season at 32-16 overall and recorded a 17-1 record in the PAC regular season. The Saints won the PAC regular season and championship tournament titles and made their ninth NCAA Tournament appearance and seventh under 10th-year head coach Lindsay Eagan.
