(LEXINGTON, Ky.) - The Thomas More College women's golf team shot a 420 today (Friday, August 29, 2014) and finished third at the Transylvania University Intercollegiate at the University Club of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky.
Sophomore Emilie Mattei (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton) led the Saints with a 95. Freshman Shanna Doumont (Burlington, Ky./Villa Madonna) carded a 97 in her collegiate debut. Rounding out the Saints' scorers were freshman Amber Greene (Catlettsburg, Ky./Fairview) with a 103, freshman Bethany DeAtley (Muses Mills, Ky./Fleming County) carded a 125 and junior Kelsey Hood (Carlisle, Ohio/Carlisle) had a 127.
The Saints had three golfers compete as individuals as freshman Renee Theibert (Pataskala, Ohio/Watkins Memorial) fired a 108, freshman Lydia Fischesser (Cincinnati, Ohio/Mother of Mercy) had a 113 and freshman Sarah Roaden (Covington, Ky./Calvary Christian) carded a 115.
Hanover College won the tournament with a 340 and host Transylvania placed second with a 365.
