Saints Remain in 22nd Place at NCAA Championship

(HOUSTON, Texas) – The Thomas More College women's golf team shot a second round 354 today (Wednesday, May 10, 2017) and is in 22nd place at the NCAA Division III Championship with a two-round total of 749 (395-354) at Bay Oaks Country Club in Houston, Texas.

Sophomore Sara Jackie (Louisville, Ky./Sacred Heart Academy) led the Saints on day two with an 81 and is in 98th place with a 181 (100-81).  Sophomore Christie Modafari (Mason, Ohio/Mount Notre Dame) shot a second round 86 and is tied for 106th with a 188 (102-86).

Sophomore Emily Armbrecht (Taylor Mill, Ky./Holy Cross) had a second round 95 and is tied for 106th with a 188 (93-95).  Senior Emilie Mattei (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton) had a 92 in the second round and is in 111th place with a 192 (100-92).  First-year Sophia Illokken (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills) shot a second round 102 and is 115th with a 214 (112-102).

Rhodes College leads the team championship with a 601 (301-300) and Bridgewater (Va.) College's Christina Herbert is leading the individual standings with a 143 (74-69).

The Saints will get the third round underway tomorrow on the 10th tee beginning at 8:45 a.m. Eastern/7:45 a.m. Central.
