Thomas More in Fifth Place at Weiskopf Invitational

(WOOSTER, Ohio) – The Thomas More College women's golf team shot a first round 373 today (Saturday, October 7, 2017) and is in fifth place at the Eva Shorb Weiskopf Invitational hosted by The College of Wooster at the Wooster Country Club in Wooster, Ohio.

Sophomore Cora Bradford (Union, Ky./Ryle) led the Saints as she shot a personal best 88 and is in 10th place.  Senior Amber Greene (Catlettsburg, Ky./Fairview) is tied for 19th with a 92.

Junior Christie Modafari (Mason, Ohio/Mount Notre Dame) is tied for 24th with a 95, junior Sara Jackie (Louisville, Ky./Sacred Heart Academy) is tied for 34th with a 98 and sophomore Sophia Illokken (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills) is tied for 39th with a 100.

First-year Abby Albrinck (Cincinnati, Ohio/McAuley) competed as an individual and is in 49th place with a 110.

The University of Mount Union leads the team standings with a 343, while Marietta College's Jackie Cunningham is leading the individual standings with a 74.

The second round gets underway tomorrow at 10 a.m. at the Wooster Country Club.
