(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) – The Thomas More College women's lacrosse team fell, 10-8, to Hanover College today (Tuesday, April 4, 2017) in an Ohio River Lacrosse Conference (ORLC) match at the Panther Athletic Complex in Hanover, Indiana.
With the loss, the Saints fall to 2-5 overall and 1-2 in the ORLC. With the win, the Panthers improve to 5-5 overall and 2-1 in the ORLC.
Sophomore Jeni Hall (Lebanon, Ky./Marion County) scored four goals as she found the back of the net at 21:35 in the first half, 23:13, 29-seconds and four-seconds in the second half. Senior Erika LaRosa (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton) scored three times as she scored at 10:57 in the first half, 29:28 and 15:26 in the second half. Senior Tori Liles (Tollesboro, Ky./Lewis County) scored at 13:09 in the second half and assisted on LaRosa's third goal of the match.
Sophomore Gillian Casey (Lexington, Ky./Lexington Catholic) suffered the loss in goal as she recorded 12 saves in 60 minutes of action.
Both teams took 24 shots in the match and the Saints had a 23-21 advantage in ground balls. Hall led the team in shots with nine, including seven on-goal, while LaRosa led the team in ground balls with five and Liles led the team in draw controls with five.
The Saints returns to action on April 11 when they travel to Franklin, Indiana to play Franklin College at 6 p.m.
