Women's Soccer Shuts Out Saint Vincent 3-0 On the Road

(LATROBE, Pa.) – The Thomas More College women's soccer team travelled to Latrobe, Pa. taking on Saint Vincent. The Saints shut out the Bearcats, winning 3-0. With the win, the Saints improve to 9-3-1 overall and 4-0 in the PAC. With the loss, the Bearcats fall to 1-10-1 overall and 1-3 in the PAC.

All three of the Saints goals came in the second half. Ashley Maples was the standout in the match, having a goal and two assists. In the 62nd minute, Shaye Isaacs put the Saints on the board from an assist from Maples. Maples then put the Saints up 2-0 in the 70th minute scoring off a rebounded ball. Two minutes later, Morgan Beare knocked one in off a corner kick from Maples in the 72nd minute and putting Thomas More up 3-0.

Aleyna Heyman played all 90 minutes and did not have a shot on goal against her. This moves 4-2-1 on the season. Thomas More dominated the shot ratio, 21-3, recording eight in the first-half and 13 in the second. Maples led the Saints in shots, recording six. Abby Stadtmiller was close behind her recording four of her own.

Thomas More is back in action Oct. 14 for Senior Day against Chatham. The match will start at 4:30 PM at Griffin Plaza on BB&T Field. Senior Day honors will occur during half-time due to the Saints football game prior to the soccer match.
