Saints Make Program History With Win Against Catholic

(HILTON HEAD, SC) – The Thomas More College women's tennis team hade program history today as it defeated Catholic to get its 12th win of the season, improving its record to 12-4 overall. No women's tennis program at Thomas More has accomplished this. The Saints took down Catholic 5-4 in a hard fought match.

In singles competition, Brooke Warden and Sarah Fellinger were the only two Saints to be victorious against their singles partners. Warden won in two sets, 6-1, 6-2 while Fellinger won 6-3, 6-7. Fellinger was down 5-4 in the second set and came back to win 7-5.

In doubles competition, the Saints swept the competition. Duo Warden and Hannah Lowman won 8-4, Nicole Capodagli and Fellinger won 8-6, and Matison Perry and Jana Riffe won 8-4.

The Saints head back home now to compete in their final match of the season at Franklin on March 17.
