Christina Cook Named All-Region in 400-Meter Dash

(NEW ORLEANS, La.) – Thomas More College junior Christina Cook (Independence, Ky./Simon Kenton) has been named All-Region by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for the 2017 outdoor season.

To be named All-Region, an athlete must either be ranked in the Top-5 of an individual event in the region according to the final TFRRS data or be part of a Top-3 relay team.

Cook qualified Top-5 in the 400-meter dash as she was ranked No. 3 in the region and 26th nationally with a time of 56.58-seconds, which she set at the Indiana State University Twilight on May 6.

Cook will compete in the Division III Championship's 400-meter preliminaries on Friday (May 26) at 2:45 p.m. in Geneva, Ohio.
