Cook Finishes Sixth at NCAA Outdoor Championship

(LA CROSSE, Wis.) – Thomas More College senior Christina Cook (Independence, Ky./Simon Kenton) finished sixth with a time of 55.18-seconds today (Saturday, May 26, 2018) in the finals of the 400-meter dash of the 2018 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championship hosted by the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse at Roger Harring Stadium at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex in La Crosse, Wisconsin.

Cook also becomes the Thomas More women's track & field program's first-ever All-American with her finish at the national championship.

Today's 400-meter dash final capped an illustrious career for Cook at Thomas More as she qualified for four-straight NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships and one NCAA Division III Indoor Championship.  She finished her career as a 19-time Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) champion as she won 10 events during her four years at the PAC Indoor Track & Field Championships and nine at the PAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships.  Cook was also named the 2015, 2016 and 2017 PAC Indoor Track Most Valuable Player and was also the 2017 PAC Indoor Overall Most Valuable Player.
