(LOUISVILLE, Ky.) – The Thomas More College men's and women's cross country teams traveled down to Louisville, Ky. today to compete in the Greater Louisville Classic. The women placed 29th overall out of 31 teams with a score of 744 and the men placed 13th overall out of 36 teams with a score of 416.
For the women's meet, sophomore Natalie Kleier was the top Saint with a time of 20:16.44. Three other runners finished with times under the 25-minute mark, Michelle Neiser with a time of 22:32. 42, Shannon Smith with a time of 23:18.67, and Dominique Webber with a time of 23:53.60. first-year Jenn Swecker finished under the 30-minute mark with a time of 27:32.44.
For the men's meet, junior Michael Campbell led the team finishing in ninth place with a time of 26:21.56. All six remaining runners for the Saints finished under the 30-minute mark. Oscar Ramirez with a time of 27:21.76, Ross Klocke with a time of 28:03.89, Ronny Smith with a time of 28:50.28, Max Sellers with a time of 29:16:65, Josh Pusateri with a time of 29:23.39, and finishing less than a second behind Pusateri was Brandon West with a time of 29:24.08.
The men's and women's cross country teams compete again on Oct. 13 at the Jenna Strong Fall Classic in Wilmington, Ohio.
